WHY: Jared

Jared Cruce, an Oregon based commercial / editorial photographer approaches his work with energy and enthusiasm. He pushes creativity and new vision, works fast and welcomes new technologies. Jared is easy going and down to earth by nature but at the same time he is driven and focused on reaching the highest level of success in his art. "My attitude is to have a lot of fun and put out a lot of positive energy and at the same time be a fast, efficient, and highly skilled photographer. If it's not fun then it's a job and not a passion. I try to emanate that to everyone I work with."

For Jared, photography is definitely more important than a job. "I deem every project and every assignment as a chance to create my very best image," explains Jared. "Pushing myself to the highest level is always my motivation and it helps me become focused and put all of my energy into every job, no matter the subject or client or location demands."

With a “totally” approachable persona and an encouraging leadership style that seems to magically mesh with model, CEO, world class athlete and art director alike, Jared is able to bridge the gaps between vision, subject, photographer and client. “I feel very comfortable and thrive on putting myself in other people's shoes.” Making people around him feel at ease allows Jared to bring cooperation and collaboration to fruition and deliver the client’s vision in a powerful image.

Jared continually seeks to grow his vision and tackle challenging commercial and editorial projects where hi-end photography and creative collaboration are infused with vision and purpose.

When not spending his free time with his wife Suzanne, and his daughter Jane Holiday, he can be found kayaking, skiing the back country, and exploring the wild places of this planet.
